"Papa, will you read me a book?"

Harry glanced up from the Prophet to see Annalise standing beside him with a book in her hand and a pleading expression in her big blue eyes. Setting the paper aside and moving over to make room for his daughter, Harry patted the cushion next to him and replied, "Hop up here, poppet, and I'll read to you." Taking the book from Annalise, Harry flipped open the cover and scanned the words:

She sells sea shells by the sea's shore. The shells she sells are sea shells, I'm sure.

"What kind of book is this?" he asked, certain he'd never seen it before.

"Tongue tisters, Papa!" beamed Annalise, scooting closer and leaning against him.

"I see," Harry said, inwardly cringing at what he'd been asked to read. Nevertheless, he cleared his throat and gave it his best shot:

"She shells...She sells she shells...She. Sells. Sea. Shells by the she's shore...oh, brother."

Annalise giggled. "Try again, Papa!" she coaxed.

"Are you laughing at me?" accused Harry, scowling at the angelic countenance of his child.

"No," Annalise snickered.

"Hmm," Harry glowered. Returning to the book, he made another attempt to read the wretched words:

"She sells...sea shells...by the sea's shore. The shells she shells...gah!"

Annalise burst into another round of giggles, but over her voice, Harry heard the sound of additional laughter. "Draco Malfoy-Potter!" he yelled, spying his husband hiding around the corner. "Did you give Annalise this book?!"
