Summary: Hermione asks Harry and Draco what has kept their marriage going strong.
"I didn't think they'd last ten days, let alone ten years," Ron remarked, shaking his head as he watched his best friend dancing with his husband. They were celebrating their tenth anniversary with an elegant party at Malfoy Manor.
"All that fighting and bickering they did as boys must have paid off," Hermione said. "They got it out of their systems. What amazes me most is that they've been married longer than we have." She punctuated the last comment with a gentle pinch to Ron's arm.
Ron yelped, then covered it with a cough when Harry and Draco approached, smiling and holding hands.
"Ron was just wondering what the secret to your successful marriage is," Hermione prompted the guests of honor.
"I only stay with Harry for the sex," Draco quipped.
Ron gagged, and Harry and Hermione laughed. "That's only part of it," Harry said. "Our secret is quite simple really." Lifting the hand that was still clasped in Draco's, he quoted, "Hold hands firmly..."
"...and hearts gently," Draco finished with a smile--one that was directed at his husband rather than their friends.
"Oh, that's so sweet," Hermione cried in delight, elbowing Ron when he began making gagging noises again.
