Tucked in bed that evening, Scorpius was too excited to sleep. He was going to Hogsmeade with Albus Potter. Scorpius knew half the school would be seething with envy. The other half would be jealous of Peony's date with Weasley. Scorpius grinned in the darkness, feeling smug.
Not only was Potter smart and fit, he was also genuinely nice. Scorpius' euphoria faded. Why were Potter and Weasley willing to be seen in public with two Slytherins, both of whom had Death Eaters in their families?
Scorpius hoped for his sake and Peony's that they weren't being played by the Gryffindors.
