Summary: Harry refuses to admit they're lost.
"Admit it, Potter. We're lost."
Harry aimed a glare at his grumpy boyfriend. "We aren't lost," he insisted. "We're simply taking the scenic route."
They'd set out from their hotel after lunch, intent on taking a hike in the Dolomites. Of course, Harry had quickly eschewed the well-marked trails in favor of being bold and adventurous. He was beginning to regret that decision.
"We're going in circles," said Draco.
"No, we're not."
"Yes, we are," Draco snapped. "I recognize that twisted tree."
Harry sighed and unfolded a map. A second later he felt breath on the back of his neck. Harry's body reacted in predictable fashion, which irritated him more than anything. "Would you mind not standing on top of me?"
Draco huffed and moved to stand beside Harry. He pointed at the map. "There's the hotel. Where are we?"
"Italy."
"Very funny, Harry. There's a sofa in our suite with your name on it."
Harry gritted his teeth and refrained from arguing. "We've been heading in a northerly direction since we left the trail, so we should be...here," he said, touching a finger to the map.
"So how do we get back to the trail?" asked Draco.
Harr studied the map, glanced up at the overcast sky to orient himself by the sun, and pointed. Tentatively. "That way."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure," Harry said. He wasn't, but neither was he about to admit it. He uncapped his bottle of water and took a drink, encouraging Draco to do the same.
"Did you pack any food?" Draco asked.
"Why? Are you hungry?"
"No, I'm concerned we won't make it back to the hotel in time for tea."
Harry glowered at him. "You know, that sofa in our suite may just have your name on it."
Draco responded with a haughty sniff. "I don't know why I tolerate you," he said. "Truly, it is a mystery."
"It's because I'm a tremendous lover," Harry said, grinning now. "Once we get back to the hotel, I'll treat you to a reminder."
"Promises, promises," said Draco. His expression remained aloof, but his voice had gone a bit breathy.
"Come on," Harry said. "The sooner we get back, the sooner we can shag."
"We could shag outdoors," Draco suggested. "It's not as if there's another person in the vicinity."
Harry's brows lifted. "Outside?!"
Draco matched him with one raised brow. "We are on holiday," he drawled. "Live a little."
"You'd get bug bites or a plant-induced rash and somehow it would be all my fault."
"Most of my misfortunes are."
Harry headed out in what he hoped was the right direction. "Let's save the shagging for the comfort of our suite."
"What if we die out here in the wilderness?"
"We are not going to die in the wilderness," scoffed Harry. "We are wizards, in case you've forgotten. It's not as if we can't simply Apparate back to our suite."
"Why don't we then?"
Harry gave him a light shove. "Where's your sense of adventure?" he teased.
Draco's expression turned sly. "In my luggage."
Harry halted and looked at him quizzically. "Sorry?"
"Let's just say I packed some more adventurous items than a snorkel and my swim trunks."
Harry's blood flow redirected so quickly it nearly left him woozy. He shoved the map in his back pocket and drew his wand. "Let's go," he said. "The sooner we Apparate back to our suite, the sooner we can embark on a different adventure."
