After leaving the children with Narcissa for an overnight stay, Harry and Draco returned to Malfoy Manor, the Lesser, to indulge in a leisurely shag. Afterward, they showered and dressed in preparation for attending the annual New Year's Eve party at the Goyles' home.
"Are you wearing your new pink pants?" Harry asked.
Draco huffed out a sigh. "Yes, I am," he said. "They are surprisingly comfortable."
Harry grinned. He couldn't wait to remove his husband's pants later that night.

As soon as the Potter-Malfoys emerged from the Floo, they each handed Greg Goyle a tin of fruitcake.
"Happy New Year," said Harry.
"Happy birthday, Greg," Draco added.
Greg thanked them and pried the lid off one of the tins to reveal the fruitcake inside. "Wicked," he breathed.
Harry smiled and made his way into the party proper. He reeled to a halt when he was accosted.
"Harry Potter-Malfoy," snapped Daphne Nott, poking Harry's chest. "You put that ridiculous blow-up snowman in my miniature village!"
Harry laughed. "When did you notice it?"
"This morning, when I was packing up the items to put them away," Daphne replied.
"Hah!" crowed Harry. "You fail at constant vigilance, Mrs Nott."
"Daphne, please excuse my husband," said Draco. "He's touched in the head."
"If I am," countered Harry, "it's due to all of those snowballs you've pelted me in the head with over the years."
"Madness," sighed Draco, shaking his head. He plucked two glasses of champagne from a floating tray and handed one to Harry.
"Should you be drinking in your condition?" sassed Daphne.
"Touché," Harry responded with a grin. Eventually, he found his way over to Marcus and Justin Flint. "Good evening, Mr and Mr Finch-Fletchly-Flint."
"Congratulations again, Harry," said Justin. "Knowing you have a child on the way via surrogacy is an exciting time. I know you love your adopted children, but being able to experience everything leading up to the birth is extra special."
"Draco and I are incredibly grateful to Luna and Neville, and we can't wait to go on this journey with them," said Harry. After visiting more with the Flints, Harry moved away to mingle with other guests. He and Draco crossed paths now and again, pausing to exchange light touches or even a quick kiss.
As midnight approached, Harry and Draco made their way up the steps, through one of the guest rooms, and onto a balcony that overlooked the gardens. It had become their favorite spot to watch the Goyles' New Year's fireworks.
They stood next to one another at the rail, bodies pressed together from shoulders to hips. "It's a beautiful night," said Harry. "Not too cold, and few clouds to hide the moon and the stars."
"Any resolutions this year, Harry?"
"I resolve to be the best father I can be," Harry murmured. "You?"
"I'd actually like to spend more time at home, especially after the baby is born," Draco replied. "I've been thinking of hiring someone else to help out at the shop. Josh needs to spend more time with his family, too."
They shared a smile and clinked their champagne flutes together before taking a sip of the bubbly liquid. In the garden below, the count down began.
"Ten, nine..."
Harry turned his head and sought Draco's lips with his own. It was a long, lingering kiss that lasted to midnight and beyond.
"...two, one! Happy New Year!"
Fireworks exploded in the sky, and cheers erupted from the guests who had walked out into the garden. Harry drew back and licked his lips, enjoying the flavor of Draco and champagne.
"Happy New Year, Harry."
"Happy New Year, love," said Harry. "It's going to be the best one yet."
And so another whirlwind December with the Potter-Malfoys comes to an end. I am always sad to put them away for the year, although I may try to revisit them during the year, as there will be so much going on. Thank you, all of you, for coming on this madcap adventure with me! Happy New Year!
