The house was peaceful that evening. Jasmin was sitting on the floor in the family room with a coloring book on the low coffee table in front of her. She was industriously coloring a picture of Christmas elves. Jasmin's elves were dressed in pink and purple, rather than red and green. Harry couldn't wait to hang the finished picture on the refrigerator.
Ben was seated on the other side of the coffee table, busy writing a letter to Mr Pierson in the care home. Barnabus had originally belonged with Mr Pierson, and Harry promised the elderly chap that they would keep in touch.
Harry and Draco were seated on the sofa, their shoulders and thighs touching as they relaxed in front of the fire. Cassi was draped across Draco's lap, while Chewy snored on top of Harry's feet.
Harry turned his head and murmured, "Are you wearing some naughty, adult Christmas underwear? Your elf G-string, perhaps?"
"Yes."
"Seriously?!" Harry cried. Both children stared at him in surprise, and Harry's shoulders hunched. "Sorry," he muttered. When Ben and Jasmin returned to their activities, Harry's eyes narrowed on his husband.
"Seriously?"
"Of course not, you ponker."
Harry snorted and took another sip of hot cider. "Just for that, I should get you another G-string for Christmas," he muttered.
"No, you should not."
Harry grinned but let the subject drop. "Which underwear are you wearing?"
"This is hardly an appropriate conversation for the family room, Harry."
"What's popiate mean, Daddy?"
"It means your father is in trouble, Jasmin," Draco replied.
Jasmin regarded Harry solemnly. "Are you being naughty, Daddy?"
"I was only teasing your dad," Harry assured her. "My, your elf picture is so pretty. I can't wait to see it when it's finished."
Jasmin beamed and returned to her coloring.
"Nice save, Ponker-Malfoy," Draco said in a low voice.
"I could have been a Keeper, yeah?"
"..."
"That was your cue to tell me I am a Keeper," said Harry, prodding Draco with an elbow.
"I've yet to decide if I want to keep you."
"I'm going to tell Jasmin you're being mean to me," warned Harry. "And then I'll tell your mother."
Before Draco could respond, Ben sat up straight. "I finished my letter," he announced. He brought it to Harry to read.

Me and Barney are exsited for Cristmas. He has his own sock for santa to put treets in. Barney was a good boy this yee year and i was to. We hope Santa brings lots of toys. Thank you for leting barney come live with me.
