I glanced at my brother. Nik was as calm as ever, despite the fact that we were facing a skinwalker. Contrary to legend, a skinwalker doesn't become one animal; it becomes multiple animals. If it started out as a coyote, this would be simple enough. If its first form was a cougar, followed by coyotes, snakes, and spiders, we could handle it. Probably.
If it began as a bear we were screwed.
The skinwalker began its change, growing larger and larger until it morphed into a bear.
"Fuck," I muttered.
"Indeed," Niko agreed. He braced himself and raised his sword.
