Spartacus eventually sheathed his claws. I was lucky they were his own homegrown weaponry, unlike the lethal teeth that his creator, Wahanket, had endowed him with during the mummification process.
Salome, Robin's other mummy cat, had proven her mettle by killing a possessed human, several revenants, and one unfortunate Great Dane. She'd once battled a Wolf to a draw, and I wouldn't have bet against her winning that fight with Catcher, had Rafferty not broken it up.
I'd not seen Spartacus get into any fights, but I considered myself doubly lucky that he seemed content to wallow in my hair.
