hp_coffeehouse Prompt No. 63 - coffee/tea in hot weather/summer
Summary: Business as usual
After eating lunch, Harry and Malfoy lingered over coffee at Cosmo's Cafe. Harry set his cup down. "This is good, but it's not quite as good as what Lynsey serves at Dragon Brew."
"Prat," said Malfoy. "You're turning into quite the coffee aficionado."
"I do enjoy a good cup of coffee," said Harry. "Even in hot weather."
"Iced lattes are more refreshing in summer."
Harry checked the time and sighed. "I reckon I should return you to your coffee shop, while I should get back to the Ministry." Harry paid for their lunch and escorted Malfoy back to Dragon Brew.
Bethany was at the counter when they returned. "How is it going, Bethany?" asked Malfoy.
"Fine, Mr Malfoy," she replied. "Business has been steady, Lynsey didn't elope with Caleb Clarke, and Miss Ethel and Miss Mabel were delighted when I told them you were on a date with Auror Potter. I, um, I think one of them was humming the wedding march."
"Oh, dear Merlin," Malfoy muttered. He moved behind the counter and donned his I ♥ Harry Potter apron. He glanced up at Harry and frowned. "Are you still here? Don't you have a murderer to apprehend?"
"Maybe I'd like something to go," Harry snapped back. Malfoy turned away, but not before Harry caught the twitch of his lip and brow. "Git," he grumbled. "Give me one of your lavender lattes, and make it with love."
