"Are you sending a letter to someone special?" Lily asked with a coy flutter of her lashes. "A girlfriend at Beauxbatons, perhaps?"
Scorpius was thrilled with her shy flirtation. "I'm sending a letter to a very special woman," he said. "My mum. She and father are about to embark on a getaway, and I am hopeful she will bring me back some fancy chocolates."
"You must have a sweet tooth," said Lily. She finished attaching a letter to one of the school owls and sent it winging on its way.
Scorpius felt his smile widen. "I do enjoy sweet things."
