The end of summer was marked by a change in color. Green turned to gold and orange and scarlet, while the blue of the sky lost some of its intensity. Wardrobes changed, too. Witches and wizards went from wearing pastels to plum, bronze, and umber.
Change could be welcome or unsettling, depending on one's perspective. Harry always embraced change, and Autumn held a special place in his heart. It was when he'd first come home...to Hogwarts.
There were some things, however, that Harry never wanted to change, such as the look of fond affection in Draco's soft, silver eyes.
