While waiting for Draco to return from Swansea, Harry surveyed his minions. Everyone was dressed in his or her newest Weasley sweater, looking for all the world as if the entire family was dressed for the holiday with no place to go. They did, however, have somewhere to go, if only Draco would hurry up and get back.
The Floo activated, and Draco stepped out smartly. He flicked a tiny bit of ash from his red Weasley sweater, smiled at Harry, and said, "Everything is ready."
"Where are we going, Mister Draco?" asked the ever-inquisitive Carolyn.
"We are going to find some peace and quiet, far away from London and Hogsmeade and Wiltshire," Draco told her. "Harry and I have a small cottage, where we go for cozy, quiet holidays, and that's where we shall spend the next few days."
"Are Cassi-opie and Chewy coming, too?" Carolyn queried.
"No, they are staying home," said Harry. "Chewy has to guard the house, and Cassi is in charge. There are plenty of people who will check in on them to make sure they have food and water and to take Chewy for his walks, okay?"
"Okay, Mister Harry," said Carolyn, looking a little glum.
"Let's go," said Draco, taking Carolyn's hand and leading her into the Floo. Harry followed, holding Ben's hand, while the other supported Jasmin in her sling. Draco tossed down a pinch of powder and called out, "Swansea Cottage!"

"This is the life," sighed Harry. He was relaxing on the sofa in the cottage, feet up on the coffee table. Draco was seated by his side in a similar pose. Jasmin napped in her basket, while the older children were busy playing a Muggle board game that Harry had introduced them to.
"It's just the sort of peaceful holiday we needed after the manic month we've had," Draco agreed.
Carolyn rolled the dice and began to hum Silver Bells. It took a moment before Harry realized that Ben had joined in the humming. A bit off-key, sure, but the fact that he was happy and humming made Harry happy.
Harry turned his head to the side and smiled at Draco. "Best Christmas ever," he whispered.
