Today's weather is nice, although we've already had some too-hot days for June and more forecast to come. Too early for such heat! Blah.
This month's JMDC prompt is a short list of words: garden, gaze, ground. Use one, some, or all. Be creative! You may write/draw any fandom, pairing, threesome, gen fic, original fic, etc. Combine it with other prompts, if you like.
Please post your entry in your own journal (unlocked!) or a community of your choice, and leave me a link in the comments below. You have until June 30 at 10:00pm CST to submit an entry. At that time, I'll post links to the entries and draw a name from among the participants to receive a drabble from me.
Below is my entry for this month:

Harry's Friend, with a prompt of bruise
Summary: Harry is embarrassed when Draco sees a mark on his arm.
Once Draco led Harry through the gardens and showed him the peacocks, Harry stared in bemused silence at the beautiful white birds. He'd only seen one once before, from a distance, but here was an entire flock of them. "Do you have any regular blue ones?" he asked.
Draco held his tummy and laughed. "Regular peacocks are for Squibs," he said. "The Malfoys have always had white peacocks."
One of the birds fanned out his tail feathers, and Harry gasped in amazement. "Wicked," he said.
"Come on," said Draco. "Let's go play in the garden maze." He grabbed Harry's arm to lead him back to the gardens.
Harry winced and tugged away.
"What's wrong with you?" asked Draco, frowning a little.
Harry pulled up the sleeve of his oversize jumper and showed Draco the bruise he had on his arm.
Draco's eyes widened. "How did that happen?" he asked, voice full of concern.
Embarrassed, Harry dropped his gaze and scuffed one trainer on the ground. "My uncle grabbed me by the arm."
"Oh. He probably didn't mean to hurt you," Draco said uncertainly.
Harry would rather die than admit the truth, so he agreed. "No, I reckon he didn't." In an effort to change the subject, he said, "Weren't you going to show me the maze?"
"That's right!" cried Draco, dashing off with Harry running after him. "Let's go!"
