Summary: Draco has married a mad man, and he feels quite fortunate.

By the time Draco found the first pregnancy test under his pillow, Harry had already left for the Ministry. "Berk," he murmured, chuckling fondly to himself. Harry had always gotten so eager and excited, each time they'd tried to get pregnant. Plenty of practice had been necessary before Annalise came to fruition, while Airilyn had been conceived rather quickly. Trying for a third baby could go either way. In any case, practice was certainly enjoyable. Draco stretched, savoring the lingering ache from a night of glorious sex.

He laughed when he found the second pregnancy test in the drawer where he kept his pants. By the time Draco found the third test, in his shoe, he was growing exasperated. Just because Harry was not-so- subtly trying to prod him into testing didn't mean Draco was going to comply. He'd only been taking his specially prepared potion for a few days!

Once he was dressed, Draco checked on the girls. Annalise's room was empty, her bed haphazardly made. Draco straightened it with a few flicks of his wand. He peeked in on Airilyn, finding her still asleep. Draco went downstairs and caught his eldest in the act of eating a biscuit.

"Annalise! Are you eating a biscuit?!"

"But Daddy," she whined, "I was hungry."

Draco glowered at her but let it go. "Why don't you feed the kitties while I make us some breakfast?"

Annalise finished her biscuit and slid down from her kitchen chair. She opened one of the lower cupboards and got out a bag of cat kibble. Pixie and Gremlin began winding around her feet, meowing loudly for their own breakfast.

Draco fixed scrambled eggs and warmed some of the potatoes that had been left over from last night's dinner. He turned off the stove, dropped some bread into the toaster, and returned upstairs to wake Airilyn.

After breakfast, Draco left the girls in the lounge and went to the cellar to brew some simple potions. He checked on his daughters frequently, but they were playing quietly for once. He started to think about what to make for dinner.

When Harry returned from the Ministry, he greeted the girls with his usual exuberance. Once they returned to playing, Draco greeted his husband in a more subdued manner. They reconnected with a lingering kiss until Draco was forced to step back or climb Harry like a tree. Harry's eyes were sparkling behind his specs, and Draco just knew he was hoping for some remark about the pregnancy tests. For that reason, Draco held his tongue and pretended nothing unusual had happened that day.

They sat down to dinner and talked about their respective days. The girls regaled Harry with tales of the cats' antics, while Harry recounted an amusing encounter with a woman who had summoned the DMLE to get her Kneazle out of a tree. Draco discussed the potions he'd brewed and related that they were all invited to the Manor on Friday evening for dinner.

Later, after the girls were in bed, Harry embraced Draco from behind and nuzzled his neck. "Is there anything else you'd like to tell me about your day?"

"Nothing I can think of," Draco answered with feigned nonchalance.

"Are we pregnant yet?"

"Not unless you're keeping secrets," teased Draco.

Harry huffed, clearly losing patience. "Haven't you tested yourself yet?"

"Harry, I haven't had time to buy a pregnancy test."

"What about the ones that I bought?!"

Draco purposefully widened his eyes. "You bought a test? Why didn't you say so?" When Harry scowled at him, Draco's lips twitched.

"You git," growled Harry.

Draco laughed. "You're the git," he countered. "What were you thinking, buying multiple pregnancy tests?"

"Can I help it if I'm excited at the prospect of being a father again?" Harry turned Draco in his arms and began kissing his neck.

Draco sighed and tipped his head, exposing his throat for more of his husband's ministrations. "Mm, that feels good."

Harry halted what he was doing and drew back, gazing into Draco's eyes with such love and longing that it took Draco's breath away. "I look at you sometimes and think, 'How am I lucky enough to have you in my life?'" Harry murmured.

"You are a lucky man, indeed," quipped Draco.

Harry chuckled warmly. "I don't doubt that for a moment," he said. "Not only do I have you in my life, I also have two beautiful daughters and another baby on the way."

"We don't know that yet," Draco protested mildly. "It's still a work in progress."

"Hm, shall we progress to working on that?"

"Pfft, that was awful, Harry."

Harry grinned at Draco and led him towards the bed. They dropped onto it and fit their bodies together. Harry raised the hem of Draco's shirt and kissed his stomach. He glanced up and asked, "Will you use one of the pregnancy tests tomorrow?"

"Yeah," Draco replied. He would have agreed to anything at that moment. Harry claimed to be the lucky one, but Draco knew in his heart that he was the lucky one to have this man in his life.
