Scratching Out Party.
Harry cut a guilty glance back at Malfoy before addressing the Fat Lady as politely as he could. "Yes, I do know there is a Slytherin following me," he said. "However, he has promised to be seen and heard...I mean, he promised to see and not hear. Er, wait-"
"What Potter is so eloquently trying to say, Madam," Malfoy interrupted, "is that I promised to be seen and not heard. That, however, is a lie. Potter, please provide the password before this lady and I come to blows."
"Well, I never!" the Fat Lady gasped in outrage.
Malfoy opened his mouth again, and Harry jostled him with an elbow to prevent him from insulting the Fat Lady further. "Pixie dust," he whispered.
The Fat Lady sniffed in affront, but she opened the portrait hole.
Harry grabbed Malfoy's hand and dragged him through the opening before he could say anything to get them shut out of Gryffindor. The portrait closed behind them with a bang, and Harry winced. He'd have to apologize to the Fat Lady later. Much later.
"Come on," he said, keeping hold of Malfoy and tugging him in the direction of the stairs. "My dorm is up here." He led the way up the steps, pausing at the doorway to his dorm to catch his breath. Harry opened the door and took two steps inside. He halted so suddenly that Malfoy bumped into him behind.
"Oy, what-"
"Sh!" Harry hissed, taking a step to the side. The movement allowed Malfoy to see past him...and to the bed where Seamus and Dean lay entwined. Harry made a low sound in his throat, part groan, part snarl, and all frustration. He turned and all but pushed Malfoy out.
Once they were in the narrow corridor, Malfoy made his own rude, impatient noise. "We're running out of places for privacy, Potter," he said. "I say we should return to the Room of Requirement. After all, we require privacy, and it's the only place we can be guaranteed of it."
Harry couldn't refute his logic, and he gave in with a reluctant nod. "At least those are two Gryffindors whom your Slytherin cohorts couldn't pull," he smirked.
