"Mr Potter?"
Harry blinked and realized the officiant was expecting a response. "I do," Harry replied in a flat, expressionless voice. He then tuned out the rest of the mercifully short ceremony until he heard the sentence that began his life sentence of being married to Malfoy.
"I therefore pronounce you legally wed."
Harry shot a glance at Malfoy, expecting to see him smirking or gloating. Instead, Malfoy appeared almost as scared and uncertain as Harry, himself, was. Instead of being bolstered, Harry simply felt empty inside.
