Summary: Draco ventures outside in search of his boyfriend.
Draco scooped a batch of fresh cookies onto a wire rack to cool. He raised his head and looked for his boyfriend. Draco was surprised when the scent of chocolate didn't immediately draw Harry into the kitchen. He stepped into the foyer and noticed that Harry's coat and boots were missing. With a sigh, Draco donned his own cloak and boots and went outside to search for Harry.
Draco walked down the snow-covered lane of their country estate, accompanied by a pair of tabby cats. He could clearly see Harry's boot tracks, although he could not see Harry. Draco drew up short when the boot tracks became paw prints in the snow. Oddly enough, Harry enjoyed romping in the snow in his Animagus cat form. Draco smiled fondly and resumed tracking his boyfriend.
By the time Draco located him, Harry was human again. He had flopped into the snow and was sliding his arms and legs up and down and side-to-side. "Harry, have you gone mad?"
Harry laughed and propped himself up on his elbows. His hat was drooping to one side, and his nose was red from the cold. "I'm making a snow angel," he said.
"You'll catch your death of cold," chided Draco. "The Prophet will announce that I've managed to kill you at last, and I'll be sent to Azkaban."
Harry fell back in the snow and laughed. "That's absurd," he insisted. He finished his flailing and stood up to admire his work.
Draco stepped up next to Harry and was impressed by what he saw. "That does look like an angel," he said.
"Have you never made a snow angel?!"
"No, and I don't plan to, either," said Draco. "Come back to the house with me. I've baked cookies, and we can have some eggnog."
One of the tabby cats hopped onto the snow angel and curled up in the shallow depression left behind by Harry's behind.
Harry groaned. "Louann, you naughty cat. Now I'll have to make another."
"Warm cookies, Harry."
With a final scowl at Louann, Harry grabbed Draco's gloved hand and tugged him back towards the house. "Let's go," he said. "Those cookies are calling my name."
