Summary: Harry and Draco unleash carnage and mayhem.

Everyone in the vicinity of Veronique lapsed into stunned silence when the Queen's head abruptly parted from her body and fell to the floor. Veronique toppled sideways, blood spurting from the stump of her neck. Harry used the momentary distraction to decapitate the blonde vampire in the same manner. Her head tumbled to the floor with a thud, while her lifeless body slumped against Veronique's.

Someone screamed, and pandemonium erupted.

Harry was jostled as vampires and humans began running. Some rushed towards Veronique, while others fled the scene. Harry was repulsed to see many of the vampires feasting on Veronique's blood and that of the other slain female. It reinforced his belief that this was nothing but a bloodthirsty coven of killers. Harry contemplated striking more of them down, but his first priority was getting Draco to safety.

Draco! Harry directed his thoughts to his Consort. Get out now! I'm going to burn this place down. There was no way that Harry wanted to subject Draco to Fiendfyre. He, himself, was reluctant to use such a dangerous spell, but he wanted to employ a tactic that would wipe out as many vampires as possible.

The vampires will only teleport to safety, came Draco's return thought, seeming to echo Harry's own concerns. I have a plan, but I need you to get to safety first.

Harry was taken aback. Draco was telling him to retreat for safety's sake?! Damn it, Draco-

I'm bringing in the sun, Harry, Draco warned. Get out now. I'll never forgive myself if I incinerate you.

Harry was forced to teleport off to one side of the melee. The risk of discovery was too great, should he remain in the vicinity of Veronique's body. Most of the humans had fled the ballroom, but the majority of vampires remained. One of them was trying to take control and organize the others.

"Look around you!" she cried. "Potter must be in our midst!"

"He could be anywhere!" shouted another. "He's of magical stock. We told Veronique it would be too dangerous to bait him!"

Harry was still trying to suss out what Draco meant by bringing in the sun, and then he remembered the spell Hermione had once used to defeat Devil's Snare. Whether or not that was the particular spell Draco had in mind, Harry realized it was certainly possible to create at least the illusion of sunlight. It's not the actual sun, Draco, he directed at his Consort. Simulated sunlight may frighten the vampires, but Harry doubted it could actually harm them.

Belief is a powerful weapon, Harry.

Draco made a good point. However, there was no way that Harry was leaving his Consort to his own devices. Do it, then. he thought. Harry tightened his Invisibility cloak about himself and cast a silent spell that blanketed him in complete and utter darkness.

Do it then

Draco hoped Harry's words meant that he had teleported to safety, because they were running out of time. The vampires were marshaling their defenses, and he could be discovered at any moment. Draco had reason to be grateful that Harry had pressed a spare wand on him. Cast from two wands, his spell would be twice as effective. He dropped the gun he'd been holding for show and drew the wands instead.

Draco pointed both wands at the ceiling and yelled, "Solis Genero!"

Instantly, the ballroom was flooded with bright light. It was so intense that Draco was forced to avert his eyes. Strange, inhuman shrieks echoed in the large chamber, reminding Draco of the terrible noise Mehmet had made when the sun rose while he was lying helpless in Harry's gardens. Draco held the spell until silence reigned in the ballroom.

Draco cautiously lowered the wands and opened his eyes.

He was surrounded by the fallen bodies of the vampires. The few humans who remained in the ballroom seemed dazed and disoriented. Draco holstered the spare wand up his sleeve and maintained a tight grip on his familiar wand. He approached one of the downed vampires and nudged the creature with his foot. It emitted a piteous whimper, and Draco took a hasty step back. His spell hadn't killed the vampires; it had only disabled them. He wondered where Harry was. If Harry hadn't left, Draco needed to find him and get him away from here.

"Draco."

Draco jumped as Harry appeared next to him and spoke his name. His shoulders sagged with relief, and he had the sudden impulse to throw himself into Harry's arms and kiss him. Draco suppressed the urge, but he let his eyes rove over Harry, checking for damage.

"Are you alright?"
"You're safe?"

They spoke at the same moment, then gave one another tight smiles.

"They're not dead," Draco said. He gripped his wand more firmly and scanned the ballroom. Some of the vampires were stirring listlessly. "We should go," Draco added.

"Not until I set fire to this place," growled Harry. "Apparate to safety. I'll find you."

"I'm not afraid of fire, Harry."

"I plan to unleash Fiendfyre."

Draco felt the blood drain from his face. He never wanted to face Fiendfyre again in his life, but neither did he want to leave Harry. "I won't leave without you," he announced. Draco was proud of the fact that his voice barely shook.

"Draco-"

"There's no time to argue," said Draco. "The vampires are recovering." He saw Harry's face darken with anger, and Draco shivered. Inexplicably, Harry's ire was causing Draco to become aroused. His cock swelled and pressed against his zip. Draco fought to regain his focus. The furious expression that descended on Harry's face displayed his fangs and caused another quiver to slither down Draco's spine.

Harry grabbed Draco's arm in a painfully hard grip. He brandished his wand and unleashed the fires of hell. Flames burst forth from the tip of Harry's wand and took on the form of voracious, fiery beasts. The fire swept through the ballroom, immolating vampires and humans alike.

Draco cringed, knowing the resulting screams would haunt his nightmares. The heat from the flames grew uncomfortable, and Draco could think only of escape. Harry's grasp tightened, leaving Draco momentarily disoriented. When his world righted itself, he was left in cool darkness.

"H-Harry?" Draco whispered. Light flared into life, and Draco flinched. He relaxed when he realized he and Harry were in a large bedchamber, and that the light was coming from several wall sconces. "Where are we?" Draco asked, looking about himself with interest.

Harry released Draco's arm. He stepped away from Draco and said, "Welcome to my private bedchamber."
