Summary: Harry is preparing for a Christmas party, and he could use some help, thank you very much.
Harry opened the oven and withdrew his figgy pudding. It looked just a shade too well done, and he frowned as he set it on a rack to cool. Harry's frown deepened when he glanced at his husband. Instead of helping to prepare for the party, Draco was sitting at the table, busily writing.
"What are you doing?" asked Harry.
Draco didn't even look up. "I'm preparing my New Year's resolutions."
"Draco, we are hosting a Christmas party tonight!" cried Harry. "Why don't you resolve to help me?"
"Oh, very well," sighed Draco. "What needs to be done?"
"The fairy lights on the tree need to be lit, for one thing."
Draco drew his wand, shot a spell at the tree that brought all the fairy lights to life, then aimed a smirk at Harry before returning his attention to his resolutions.
Harry's jaw tightened, but he didn't want to argue further. Instead, he opened the fridge and removed a tray of hors d'oeuvres. Harry lifted his head and sniffed. Something smelled hot. He checked the oven, but he had turned it off. Harry turned to survey the rest of the kitchen, and his attention was captured by a glow from the direction of the living room.
"Draco! The tree!"
"I lit it, just as you asked," Draco drawled.
"Fire!" squawked Harry. "The tree is on fire!"
