Summary: Santa reveals his role.
Al's mouth fell open, and Scorpius cried, "Do you mean we traveled all the way to the North Pole for nothing?!"
"Not for nothing, my boy," said Santa. He had approached after handing out gifts to the children. "You embarked on your quest for purely altruistic reasons, and that will earn you several Nice points. Don't look so glum," he added, clapping Albus and Scorpius on the backs. "It's going to be a holly jolly Christmas all around. Ho! Ho! Ho!"
Harry's eyes narrowed on Santa. "Who are you?" he asked, ignoring the gasps of Albus, Scorpius and Draco.
"You lost your faith in me a long time ago, Harry, and I don't blame you," said Santa. "I used to leave gifts for you when you were a boy, but your greedy sot of a cousin always pinched them before you got a chance to open them."
Harry seemed taken aback, but Santa blithely went on. "Do you remember what you used to wish for more than anything?"
Harry gave a sharp nod, still clinging to his stubborn disbelief.
"A family, Harry," said Santa. "You wished for a family of your own, and it is my gift to you this year. You have Draco now, and two fine sons who also love one another. Did you ever wonder how Draco just happened to stumble against you in Diagon Alley back in September?"
Harry's eyes had gone wide with wonder, and the others mirrored his expression.
Santa's eyes twinkled in merriment. "A tiny bit of magic and a chance meeting, followed by lunch," he said. "I knew your mutual attraction would take it from there. Merry Christmas, Harry!"
