Summary: Harry and Draco exchange gifts before Christmas.

Draco was all but vibrating with excitement, and Harry could barely contain his laughter. His boyfriend was obviously quite pleased with the gift he had chosen for Harry, and he was becoming impatient.

"May we exchange gifts now?" Draco asked for the seventh time.

"Are you so eager to see what I bought for you?" teased Harry.

"No...well, yeah, but I'm more eager to see your reaction to what I got for you," said Draco.

"Alright, love, let's open our gifts," Harry relented.

A huge smile wreathed Draco's face, and he retrieved a small, flat box from beneath their tree. He presented it to Harry with a flourish.

To prolong the torture, Harry took his time unwrapping his gift. He slowly tugged the ribbon free, exclaiming over its delightful color and texture.

"Stop stalling, you pillock," Draco grumbled.

Harry merely laughed and began to gradually open the green wrapping paper, lifting each seam with excruciating care.

"Do you need some assistance, Potter?"

"Oh, it's Potter now, is it?"

"Harry, stop tormenting me!"

Harry ripped the last of the paper off in a rush. He opened the lid of the box and withdrew a postcard with a photo of the Eiffel Tower on it. "Thank you, Draco," said Harry. "I've always wanted a postcard from the Eiffel Tower."

"Read the back, you prat."

Harry turned the postcard over and read aloud, "We're going to Paris for Christmas." His jaw dropped, and he looked up at Draco in surprise. "You're taking me to Paris?!"

"Isn't it brilliant?!" cried Draco. "Now you know why I couldn't wait for you to open it."

"That's fantastic, Draco," said Harry. He leaned over and gave his boyfriend a thorough kiss to demonstrate his appreciation. When Harry sat back, and fidgeted with the ribbon from his gift. "I'm afraid I only got you a small thing."

"How rude," huffed Draco. The twinkle in his eyes indicated he was teasing. "We're going to Paris for Christmas, Harry," he said. "That's a gift for me, too, I assure you. Now, where is my frightfully small gift?"

Harry chuckled and withdrew a padded envelope from his pocket. He handed it to Draco with an apologetic shrug.

Draco plucked the envelope from Harry's fingers and paused. "Is it the key to your heart?" he grinned.

"I seem to recall giving that to you last Christmas," Harry replied without missing a beat. He was rewarded with a quick, hot snog. Harry pulled back with a rueful shake of his head. "Open that before we end up shagging on the sofa and losing it."

Draco waggled his brows, but he dutifully opened the envelope. He upended it and gave it a slight shake. A ring rolled out and landed in his palm. Draco gasped in shock, and his eyes darted between Harry and the ring he now held.

Harry reached forward and closed Draco's fingers over the ring before enfolding Draco's hand in his own. "Will you marry me?" he asked, eyes shining with hope.

"Harry," Draco breathed. "Oh, Harry, I...oh Merlin, yes, I'll marry you!"

Harry sighed in relief and sealed the promise with a kiss. When he drew back, Harry tried to lighten the mood once more. "My apologies for giving you such a small trinket."

"Tosser," Draco chided with a smile. "I'll treasure this trinket forever."
