Summary: Draco and Harry fare no better at naming their second child.

Draco was having a difficult time being vexed with Harry when he couldn't refrain from staring at their tiny new son. Azalea was now less than a year old, and already her fathers had provided her with a sibling. Draco grimaced as he recalled the fiasco that had resulted from their argument about what to name their daughter when she was born. He was determined there would not be a repeat of that this time.

"I'm not comfortable with that name, Harry," Draco said, striving to keep his voice calm.

Harry glanced up from the infant he was cradling in his arms. "James Frederick is a fine, strong name," he said.

"I don't disagree with you," Draco commented. "However, it would be unfair to name our son after your father and leave mine out of the mix."

Harry frowned at him. "You can carry the next baby, and if it's a boy, we'll name him after your father." He smiled down at the dark-haired baby in his arms. "I happen to like James Frederick."

"When I was pregnant with Azalea, we agreed ahead of time not to name her after either of our mums," Draco reminded his husband. "Why are you being so obstinate about naming our son after your father?"

Harry looked up again, and this time his frown had turned to a scowl. "It may be because you insist on introducing our daughter as Azalea Narcissa," he snapped.

"It's far superior to Birdsfoot Trefoil!" Draco snarled.

"That was a mistake!" cried Harry. He soothed the startled infant in his arms before glaring at his husband again. "Stop throwing that in my face," hissed Harry.

Draco was chagrined. He exhaled and leaned back in his chair. "You're right," he said. "I apologize."

Harry's tense shoulders relaxed. "What name or names do you like?" he asked in an effort to be polite. His heart was already set on the name of his choice.

Draco leaned forward eagerly. "I thought perhaps Scorpius," he said.

"That's atrocious!" Harry exclaimed in a fierce whisper. "James Frederick is far superior."

Draco lost his temper. "Our son's name is not James Frederick!" he snarled.

There was a shimmer of magic that circled the baby's head before disappearing with an audible pop. Harry and Draco stared at one another in stunned surprise.

"Draco, what have you done?!" Harry managed.

Draco appeared horrified. "I don't know," he muttered, "but I intend to find out."

Harry was dozing in his bed at St Mungo's while the baby slept in his cot nearby. Harry woke up when he heard the door open and close quietly. He reached for his glasses and put them on in time to see Draco slump wearily into the chair he had vacated an hour before.

"Well?" asked Harry as he struggled to sit up.

Draco sighed. "Our son's name is Not James Frederick," he said.

Harry's brow wrinkled in confusion. "Then, what is it?" he asked.

Draco's jaw tightened. "His name is, and I quote, Not James Frederick," Draco repeated. This time, he made air quotations with his fingers as he spoke their son's name.

When realization dawned, Harry groaned. "Not James Frederick Potter-Malfoy," he said, shaking his head. Inexplicably, he snickered.

"I don't find this funny, Harry!"

"It could have been worse," Harry chuckled.

"How could it have been worse?" Draco demanded.

Harry smirked at him. "I could have slept with your friend Theo, in which case the baby's name would be Not James Frederick Potter-Nott."
