Summary: Harry and Draco attend Christmas dinner at the Burrow.
"Relax, Draco," said Harry. "It will be just like Sunday dinner with Molly and Arthur."
"Only not," muttered Draco as he removed his scarf and took off his coat. "In addition to Ron and Hermione, all the other Weasley offspring will be here, along with their spouses and children."
"You've already been accepted into the family," Harry chided him. "In fact, I believe Molly wants to include you in the family portrait this year."
"Does that mean-"
"Weasley jumper!" chirped Harry. He turned away to greet their hostess before he could see Draco's reaction. It astounded Harry that Draco still felt nervous among large gatherings of Weasleys.
Bill took their coats and scarves while Molly waved them through to the living room, where a slightly lopsided pine tree held court as this year's Christmas tree. It had been decorated in a haphazard fashion by the grandchildren, and Harry thought it was perfect. Christmas dinner with the Weasleys was a larger affair than the Sunday dinners that Harry managed to drag Draco to at least once a month. Draco typically put up a fuss, but Harry believed his husband secretly enjoyed Molly's mothering, not to mention her excellent cooking.
Once all the guests had arrived, they sat down to a dinner of roast goose and all the trimmings. Molly had outdone herself, aided by her daughter and daughters-in-law. Harry and Draco had contributed a pumpkin pie from Ambrosia, which was a good thing, because Hermione's spice cake wouldn't have fed the entire crowd.
After dinner, the family returned to the living room where Arthur passed out gifts. Everyone got a new jumper, including Draco. Harry held his breath as Draco opened the box and withdrew his jumper. It had been knitted in a lovely shade of cream with a pale gray D on the front. It was perhaps the most tasteful Weasley jumper Harry had ever seen. His own this year was dark green with a garish orange H on the front.
"It's beautiful," said Draco, pulling the jumper on over his head. "Thank you, Molly," he added with a smile.
She beamed at him and blushed.
All of them donned their new jumpers while Arthur ran to get his camera and tripod. The family arranged themselves in front of the tree and Arthur shushed them so they could hear the camera beep to indicate when the photo would be snapped. Harry waited until the very last second before giving Draco his second helping of Christmas goose, knowing full well his husband would never forgive him for the shocked expression on his face in the official Weasley family portrait.
