The worried look on Hermione's face did little to alleviate Harry's concerns.
"The law is quite clear, Harry," said Hermione.
"Maybe Malfoy will enlist a subpar solicitor," Harry tried.
"Even the most mediocre solicitor should have no trouble winning this case for Malfoy," Hermione said.
Harry's temper boiled over again. "Damn it, Hermione," he snarled. "I'm Harry bloody Potter--doesn't that count for something?!"
"I'm afraid not, Harry," she replied. "Wizard society frowns on children born out of wedlock."
Harry took a deep breath, calming his anger and firming his resolve. "I'm not marrying Malfoy," he said, "and that's final."
