It was with great shock and sorrow that I learned this evening of the passing of silenceberry. She was one of the most charming, sweet and endearing people I've met online. We exchanged postcards and Christmas cards via snail mail, as well as comments and best wishes on LJ

It makes me sad to hear of fandom losing anyone, whether I knew the person or not. In this case, it's very upsetting, because I did know her well.

I was so sorry to read this yesterday. She sent me a Christmas postcard as well, one of the first I got from LJ-friends and she made me feel very included and welcome. I will miss her.
