"Are they ready, Daddy?"
"Almost, princess," Draco replied as he put the finishing touch on the cupcakes he was making for his daughter's birthday party. Annalise had been a bundle of energy ever since she had gotten up early that morning and rousted her fathers.
"When will everyone arrive?" she asked.
"Not until lunch time," Draco told her. "Why don't you run outside to see if Papa needs any help?"
"Everything is set up out there," Harry said as he entered the kitchen and overheard Draco.
"When may I open my presents?" Annalise queried as she bounced up and down.
Harry laughed. "First, your guests need to bring your gifts, and then you may open them after lunch."
"Aw," pouted Annalise.
"Run along and play with Pixie while we finish up in the kitchen," Harry said. Annalise skipped out, and Harry wrapped his arms around his husband from behind. He slid one hand down Draco's stomach, bringing his fingertips enticingly close to Draco's bits. "Is there time for me to drag you upstairs and open your package?" Harry murmured before nibbling on his husband's neck.
Draco shivered and opened his mouth to reply.
"Hey, why do you get to open a package and I don't?" Annalise demanded from the doorway.
Harry's face got red, and his hand got slapped. "Er, no one is going to open anything, poppet," he assured his petulant daughter. "I was...trying to get a treat from Daddy."
"Oh!" Annalise beamed. "May I have a treat, too?"
"No one is getting a treat right now," Draco declared, "and if your father doesn't behave himself, he won't get a treat later, either." This last was said with a quelling glare aimed at Harry.
"Daddy, you're mean," whined Annalise.
"Yeah," muttered Harry.
Draco snapped. "Out of the kitchen, both of you!" he ordered.
Annalise turned to scamper out and was nearly trampled by her father, who was in an even bigger rush to flee his husband's wrath. Harry and Annalise didn't stop until they were safely outside. "Why is Daddy so angry?" Annalise whispered.
Harry patted her head. "Daddy's not angry, poppet," he said. "He's grouchy, and we just need to stay out of his way for a bit." Annalise nodded solemnly, and Harry tried to cheer her up. "Come here and look at your party decorations."

Harry made sure to avoid riling his husband further as Annalise's guests arrived and the party progressed. Draco seemed quite cheerful, and Harry smiled and shook his head. He'd forgotten how mercurial Draco's moods could be when he was pregnant.
After a delicious picnic lunch, Annalise took the place of honor at one of the picnic tables while Harry levitated her gifts over. Annalise waited until everyone was seated before she reached for the first present and detached the card.
"Did your fathers give you something nice for your birthday?" Hermione asked her.
Attention on the envelope she was opening, Annalise nodded absently and said, "Daddy has a baby in his tummy, but Papa says it has to bake until Christmas."
Draco slumped over the picnic table and buried his head in his arms, leaving a red-cheeked Harry to face the startled gazes of their guests. "I, er, I reckon we have something to tell you," he stammered. He tugged on his husband's shoulder until Draco sat up and leaned against him. Harry wrapped an arm around Draco's waist and said, "We had planned to wait until after Annalise's party, because this is her day, but since she already let the kneazle out of the bag, Draco and I would like to announce that we're adding another baby to the family some time after Christmas."
His words were greeted by whoops and cheers from the assemblage, followed by catcalls when Harry spontaneously snogged his husband.
"A new dress!" Annalise cried, holding up her first gift and effectively reclaiming her place in the spotlight.
"That's lovely," Luna complimented. "Are you excited about the baby?"
"Yes," Annalise nodded, "but I really wanted a pony."
