May's first weekend has arrived, bringing another Monthly Drabble Challenge. In honor of the name of our current month, the prompt for May is maybe. It's short, it's simple, and you can work it in with virtually anything else you're writing this month. As a reminder, you may write any fandom, pairing, threesome, or even gen fic. This isn't strictly H/D.

Summary: It's not the answer Harry was hoping for.
Despite Neville's urging, it took Harry awhile to work up enough nerve to approach Draco Malfoy. Neville claimed that Draco was attracted to Harry, but Harry wasn't so sure. His fellow professor had never given any indication that he fancied Harry. However, with Hogwarts' annual Beltane Ball fast approaching, it was now or never.
Harry caught up to Draco as they exited the Great Hall after dinner. "Draco, would you like to be my date for the party on Saturday night?" he blurted.
Draco paused and turned to Harry with a raised brow. "Maybe," he replied with an inscrutable smile.
