Highway Robbery in the Capitol City
So we just got back from NCSC in DC late last night. I would like to make a number of comments:
1. My two chairs (judges) of my committee were total G-town sorostitutes. Blondes and empty headed, one was fake and smiley and condescending, the other was surly. It is no surprise that the winners happened to be attractive males.
2. FSU was discriminated against, not enough energy to exhaust all the specific examples, but weren't called on, we were called out, we got shite countries (i mean, cuba in a human rights committee!!)
3. FSU has won the last four years in a row, and since its a fund raiser for G-TOWN they don't want to alienate people by having FSU win every year, and the only way to do that is to make sure we don't win individually.
4. My co-delegate, Kevin, while knowledgable certainly, did not communicate with me AT ALL. then he tried to pull rank when I was right all along and i told him that i couldn't take his advice if i didn't know what it was...
5. And the winners in my committee are:
1st- UK,Bill and Bitch (william and mary)- they actually did an ok job, and in my opinion were tied with us, it should have have been them 1st and us 2nd or us 1st and them 2nd
2nd- China, West Point - Zach, half of china's delegation was an exceptionally cute 18 year old, however he was a poor-ish speaker who contradicted himself. The girl, was better, contradiction wise, but - lets put it this way, China wrote a resolution calling for the Iraqi government to institute a commision to regulate human rights violations in the country, and this body, though mandated by the Iraqi government would be autonomous from the gov't (if such a thing were possible) also to promote democracy,so, it must have been Zach's hot ass (which the surly chair was staring at all weekend) that let him win despite being grossly off policy -
as a side note, the delegates who were china (which is west point all the time b/c that was one of their countries) were off policy in all the committees, in DISEC they wanted to register all small arms, and in SPECPOL they wanted enforced democracy.
3rd - Japan, West Point - they did ok, they deserved 3rd (no higher) so i can't complain. The guy, Vito, was all wannabe slick - ok looking, chairs liked him though. The girl Sunny, was pretty in a creepy Stepford Wife meets GI Jane type of girl.
4th - France, UF - this was totally left field. They did fuck all the entire time, the main girl was ugly with a pig nose and pink tipped hair who was never dressed to regualtions
Colorful Committee Characters -
Zimbabwe - U Penn, one crazy indian guy who was assy and stuck up - but he did sing “its not unusual the last committee session - his partner, Keely, I nicknamed “the Zimbimbo” which was excellent as I am rarely that witty - the name stuck. She is like paris hilton, upper class, stuck up and slutty. She tried to promote women’s rights until Israel called her out.
