Just got a call from the local CBC station. Turns out, a friend of mine (Gus!) sent them an email telling them about my Parsec award and how I do this podcast, so they’re interested in doing an interview about it.
Once I picked up my jaw from the floor, I said, casually: “Sure! What time?”
Well, it’s for the morning show, so it’s going to be at 6:45am ADT.
Erg.. That’s going to be difficult, so I’m going to have to get to be early tonight..
If you want to listen locally, you can go to 99.5FM on the dial. If you want to stream it, you can go to
CBC Listen Live and click on the “Fredericton” button. (They stream in Windows Media format, unfortunately, but I hope people can still tune in.) If I can get a copy of the interview I’ll see about posting rights and probably drop it in the feed.
Oh! And I apparently just appeared briefly on CBC’s
Spark, a show for which I have great respect. They also do a podcast version of their show - actually, they have an “enhanced” version, which includes the full interviews they do with people, which is pretty awesome. I haven’t heard it yet (it aired today, but the podcast also dropped today), but my part is merely me listing some of the blogs that I read…
So, yeah, today is a pretty awesome day.
