Yup sure is! Ive only met one other emy and she was old and started to lecture me on how i was spelling my name wrong. Anyway thanx

and a cool name it is :D. didn´t think so in the beginning, when i was ten I changed it into ´marjolein´ (sounds weird, but is a common name in holland), changed it back now, i ám emy.
huh? the old ´emy´ said you were spelling your name wrong?? it wasn´t spelled the same way then or was she a bit demented?

Yeah she was wierd, she said that it really wasnt emy unless it was spelled emmy if i spelled it emy then it was pronounced EEE MEE. She was a german lady, so who knows what pronounciation is like out there. I'ts funny lately ive been looking at names, I really like Mia for a girl and i cant pick one for a boy. I think the name your giving is very important, what did your parents think when you changed your name?

oh..so your name is pronounced as ´emmie´? mine is pronounced as ´eemie´..or did she mean..well nevermind, weird old ladies..
names for girls are easier than for boys i think, already am keeping up a list with names (i like ´may´, ´imogen´, and names like ´chloe´, ´zoey´, for boys..´gabriel´ or ´duncan´ are nice)
my parents ofcourse didn´t like it, but didn´t mind it that much, they continued to call me ´emy´ though :)

Ha ha ha, that's funny. See, I'm also Emy, but I pronounce it like you. I do have a friend from New Zealand who calls me "Eeeemy" though. :)

Okay, actually my name's not exactly Emy...but those are my initials, and it became my nickname a long time ago, and even my parents call me Emy now.

Anyway, hi from another Emy. :)
