(no subject)
I just went through a thing of Jelly Belly and picked out all the kinds I don't like so that I can eat them without worrying about grabbing a gross kind. I'm kind of a wuss like that.
This weekend was good, I kind of needed it. I think I should have taken a few days off before starting work. I didn't think it would be a big deal at the time because I'm working in the same lab I've been working in since September and I was really excited to get started for real, but I probably should have taken some time for myself, I'm starting to lose patience for some things. And it's mostly just a few personalities that I can normally tolerate, but right now it's wearing thin and I'm getting disproportionately angry at small things.
So yesterday morning I tagged along with Scott and Maria to a huge used book sale in Elora and filled an entire bookshelf at home with pretty much new hardcovers and novels for just over 20$. I also just converted a designated textbook shelf to a regular book shelf. That was probably the most finalizing graduating-related thing I've had to do so far. Last night I went to see Iron Man with the guys and the regular assortment of girlfriends. Iron Man was actually awesome. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a superhero movie as much.
This morning we celebrated my Oma's 75th birthday at some fancy brunch buffet place in Etobicoke. My grandmother is hilarious. The older she gets, the more belligerent she gets. Forget waiting in line, she was finished her plate before we got back to the table. It's like every year she earns more senior points and takes advantage of the fact that most people won't call her on anything.
Well I am off to play Rock Band (I hope) and I hope you are all having great starts to summer :)
