hi universe.
it's holiday season again. i don't get along with holidays. i can deal with the fourth of july well enough, and i dig talk like a pirate day, but the rest of them seem to always bring me down. or maybe it's the weather. or maybe it's life.
work is workish.
i didn't end up going to any of those concerts i had wanted to. i didn't have anyone to go with me, so i ended up sitting at home, playing video games. i always find it really hard to do anything exciting by myself. i need company. i need to have someone around to say "yeah, doug, that's a good idea, let's do that!". if i don't get this sort of confirmation i just get scared and stick to what's easy.
i picked up magic for beginners by kelly link. i'm currently reading the hortlak story for the third or forth time. i also got nanny ogg's cookbook, which should be fun.
MOGEURA is a big fan of his new dangly thing on a stick toy. when i come home he meows at me until i play with him. he can jump up in the air and do some really impressive flips. he's currently keeping my elbow warm. he's a good kitty. i got him one of those cat water fountain things where the water runs down the sides of this dome thing.... it's nicer for him, and he doesn't get the floor all wet.
