Chichi is really unfortunate. She started out as the sweetest thing in Dragonball, but she married her emotional polar opposite. You can watch her decline, scene by scene, as her son and husband disappear, time and again, without word. Into battle. Into oblivion. Into death. She just doesn't get a break. And it doesn't help that Gokuu is so dismissive. Getting blown off and being taken granted for all the time, it's no wonder she eventually morphed into a fire-breathing she-beast. Yet she still manages to be devoted. If I were her, I would have divorced his ass years ago. :\

That being said, let's all just assume that the worst is yet to come. After all, Gokuu doesn't even run off with Uubu until 784 AD. And if you believe in GT, we can assume that Goten stayed with her when her husband failed to come back for more than a few meals. The boy loves his mom. Enough to suffer her loneliness into his adult life. She probably did start to treat him better, but he's still her only constant outlet.

Thank God for the best friend/fusion partner outlet. I honestly don't know how Goten would have remained sane without him. ♥
