i really hate it when my mother has these little dinner parties
so far, she's spent the ENTIRE day cleaning, and we had our cleaning people at the house 2 days ago... 2 days! our house wasn't dirty, she just recleaned everything
she spends the night trying to prepare some crazy meal like she's bree from desperate housewives... and it usually sucks
she expects my dad and i to just be little puppets in her crazy play. my dad will make witty jokes and i'll play piano.
and then, right before people show up, she's pissy. you can tell she's tired because she spent her day preparing for the evening, which in a month, no one will remember. the best bet for my dad and i is to stay out of her way.
our dinner guests, all 4 of them, are about 30 minutes late, which doesn't help my mom's pissyness
then tomorrow she'll go on and on about what went wrong with the evening, like my dad and i REALLY care.
oh yes, i forgot to mention, she informed me that i couldn't go anywhere tonight, but she didn't set a place for me at the table, so i could just.... "eat somewhere else"
college in 13 days
