Caribbean
Here I am in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana to be more accurate) and all I want to do is sleep.
The heat is both welcomed and crippling. There is usually a nice breeze balancing things. The food is different and amazing. Booze is EVERYWHERE. If you can get the bartender to understand what your are asking for us a totally different story.
Once in a while the language barrier pops up. Usually either I know/remember enough Spanish (thank you Sesame Street) or they know enough English to get through what needs to be done.
Tomorrow is our first venture off the resort....can't wait.
