who thought it intelligent to leave me alone in an apartment with cans
of paint, screwdrivers, and one weird sense of re-organization. painful
weeks later, the kitchen has gone from dirty yellow to
beee-yew---tee-ful yellow, and my room is so much bigger since i took
that big-ass desk out. love it! now to sell the un-needed furniture.
the new clarkies will be here soon. Hooray. Minus hooray, + OH NO! oh
well, at least clark has a whole bunch of events lined up that i can
mooch off of... ha ha.
DREDG at some low-key studio or whatever... hard to find pics of them
I SAW DREDG AND IT WAS AMAZING. ok, so adam complained the whole way
there b/c we werent going to a bar and he didnt know the bad, but i
told him "tough shit" b/c i am in love with them and he has to deal AND
buy me a tee-shirt (how do i get away with this???) ~~~~ right, you
dont know Dredg, and thats good, i would rather people didnt. THIS
GIVES ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHILL WITH THEM. ok, so there was a bar
there, which was actually cool b/c we could sit and see the whole show
and not be surrounded by crazed youth (altho this was one of the better
shows for that). i only drank a little... Adam drank enough for me,
half the front row, and the band. it was disgusting...during and after.
so he went out and laid outside in the car after the show, and I MET
the guys... it was so chill! all you had to do was buy the CD for a
wristband, or wear a shirt they really liked. I happened to do both...
so i HAD a band for Adam , but he was too borracho to use it... weirdo.
~~~~~ they were all excited i was wearing a Flogging Molly Shirt, and
one of the guys (not the drummer... bassist?) was like "hey, i have
something funny to show you" and pulls out a ticket stub from when they
played with Flogging Molly 6 years ago. i was dumbfounded. he was like,
"you want it"? i was even more dumbfounded. but i kept cool and smiled
and talked and had a great time chatting them up. i then remembered
Adam might be dead in the car, so i left. after adam puked out half of
his night's fun on the road, we drove home (2 hours) with him in the
backseat and me falling asleep at the wheel... but oh God, was I happy.
