I wonder - are there any Merthur fics where they're stuck out in the wilds somewhere and Merlin actually manages to conjure up some creature comforts? I hate camping, so it's beyond me that you'd sit in a cave freezing and wet when with a couple of well-placed spells you could be warm and comfy! I'd be softening up the ground and making fires burn nonstop, damn the consequences.
