Recently I've been quite taken by
JD Hillberry and the
Broad Street Studio's arts--trompe l'oeil art is usually painted on murals to create that realistic feeling--as if it really takes up space in three dimension. JD Hillberry is able to create the same effect with charcoal and graphite.
So, here's to my never-ending willingness to try new things; just a wip of my paper fastener:
I'm still using the heavy grain sketch paper by Berkeley. when I have the time, I'll switch to Cansons, which is a smoother grain and light-weight but I'm sure will have great blending effects. I'm still searching for that perfect paper to draw on... =)
