Harwell
Just finished my sonnet/journal entry. I obssesively counted the syllables. Total syllables, of course...couldn't be bothered to actually get all the lines right.
If a sonnet is to have 140 syllables total (I couldn't care less about iambic pentameter--I just wanted to make sure it wasn't too short), then mine is just right--It has 141 syllables. :)
As for whether it's any good, I have no idea.
After reading through it several times, I discovered some phrases that bear a remarkable resemblance to "The Haunted Palace"...I assure any one who cares, though, that I came up with the phrases on my own--they just happen to be in some places similiar...
