You're not the only person here who has been accused of being or equated with a rapist on the flimsiest of pretenses. If someone attacks your reputation like that, I think you're perfectly entitled to refuse to treat them. You're not a rapist or an abettor of rape for making a crush potion. And you already apologized for that magical mischief, just as I once apologized for saying the wrong thing. The matter should be closed once such things are done.
I appreciate your vote of confidence, but I suspect it will do me no good.
Those who hold such an opinion of me will be unlikely to undergo a change of heart because of the above. In fact, I may have only caused more harm in stating my views, as they will now feel obliged to fall back on their convictions, how ever misguided and incorrect, rather than admitting wrongdoing.
Of course. After a while you just have to ignore the accusations. My accuser is still slithering around trying to poison people against me, telling them that I'm a horrible vampire who is going to steal their free will, et cetera. I try to dismiss him when it is brought up to me, merely because I don't feel like spending a week in Zero for defending my honor.
Rex Lewis. He tried to "warn" Hoffman during his changed period that I was going to put him through all sorts of mistreatment. Hoffman went to me for clarification but the damage to his trust in me was done. It made him even harder to manage, and is likely one of the reasons I ended up with my face ripped off.
And yet I leave the mad little bastard alone. Sometimes it is difficult, but my friends are correct--if I punished his behavior he would only whine louder.
Every inmate here is an inmate for a reason. That's the most diplomatic answer I can give you.
I appreciate Rex on some level. I dislike Hoffman save when I'm intoxicated. I can't be impartial in this matter, because Hoffman physically attacked Mozenrath while he was a child.
