I've been here for 30 months now. [He'll just say it that way so that it doesn't sound QUITE AS LONG AS IT IS.] No signs of ageing that I've noticed. In fact, the only proof that my body isn't in some sort of stasis are the scars I've earned in my time here.

It does, but the entire Barge is a peculiar place. I suppose it makes sense: why age if our lives are halted?
