When i am tried,
My mind fills with electric anticipation,
A flash of realization,
Or an overture of deep thought,
I think it is best to invoke this altered state,
For it makes me feel so alive.

I think perhaps i can produce the greatness,
My soul has long lusted,
Is it just a fallacy,
That i have some greater purpose?
I need to believe,
Have faith, courage,
It is so hard feeling alone.
