there are no blue skies over bad lands.

Take a look at the badlands. Barren, hard to walk on. Sparse vegetation. Not very habitable for those who are accustomed to less... nature, and to more walls.

There are no blue skies over bad lands. Is this because people who live in seemingly bad lands (bad situations) take the blue skies over their heads for granted? Can they not see the blue skies above because they're always looking down? Maybe.

But I prefer a different interpretation. There are no blue skies over bad lands. Is there a place in the world where there are never any blue skies? I can't think of such a place, and I hope there isn't one. There is no place that is inherently bad. Bad things can happen on any piece of land, but there are no real "bad lands." Blue skies are all over the world, regardless of whether there is war on those lands, and regardless of whether there is poverty. Regardless of what's happening on the land, blue skies are still there.

There are no blue skies over bad lands.
And that is because there are no bad lands.

And where there is war, poverty, genocide... there are bad things happening. But what about the land and the people living in these places?

There are blue skies over these lands. Will you ever go and see them?

You might think that they're the same blue skies that are in your land, but I can almost guarantee you... that you will feel something different when you look at these blue skies.

... at least I know I will.
