I was reading a website with info on the worst reviewed films of2003 and this line about the movie "Honey" with Jessica Alba just cracked me up
Before you can say "Bob Fosse is spinning in his grave", ( absolutly hilarious, the thought of Bob Fosse, or anyone for that matter spinning in a grave ~MTQ) Honey becomes the most fabulously successful music-video choreographer in town and her overwhelming fame (sure to end with lame Academy Awards dance routines and guest shots on "American Idol") begins to alienate her from her poor-but-honest friend (Joy Bryant) and the poor-but-honest kids down at the youth center (including a hood-in-training played by Lil’ Romeo). Even worse, it seems that the sleazy Michael only hired her because (GASP!) he wants to sleep with her and when she refuses, he effectively blackballs her from working in the industry (surprisingly easy since, based on the evidence of the film, he is the only music-video director in the world)-a tragedy because Honey was planning to purchase a new building to host the youth center and she is in danger of losing the property. What to do? You guessed it-she and the kids decide to put on a show to raise money and save the day. As she puts it to the filthy urchins: "I’m Jerry, you’re the kids".
I wish Mystery Science Theater...despite its lack of scientific involvment...........would run a show on this movie, great stuff
