{Allen is mumbling to himself as he digs through the cupboards. He's trying to make something for himself and someone else, and he can't find the skillet he's looking for. He doesn't notice Lavi yet, though he does think he hears something a little strange- like static, maybe.]

Walking up quietly behind after turning off his music, that way he won't hear Lady Gaga blasting. Standing behind him a little off to the side out of sight, face like icon, and totally what's-her-faceing this line from Phineas and Ferb.]

[And jumping a mile! Probably banging his head on the cabinet, too.]

[He turns to face Lavi, still a little wide-eyed.]

L-Lavi! Why did you sneak up on me like that?

I'm okay! I was just looking for this skillet...

[He shakes his head. Any ol' skillet will do, he figures.]

Well, you're just in time- I'm going to make some food and you can test it out to see if it's any good.

Oh? What kind of food are you making? [Looking for a cook book to peer at and be nosy with.]

... I- haven't decided yet. It's for a friend... I want to make something fun for her, but I'm not exactly a good cook.

Well... that's the problem- I'm not sure. Her world is a desert, from what she's told me, so... it's hard to say what kind of food they have. I want to make something she'll enjoy, but not something strange to her.

[Those tattoos will get another interested glance, but he's focused on what he's doing. He carefully takes his coat off, revealing the high-necked tank-top beneath and baring his arms. His left one looks like a tattoo, with that pretty pattern! :D]

Well... Desert folk like a lot of foods we'd think were odd, yeah? [Digging around for a cook book but gets distracted by Allen's arm. He's seen his roommate's, yes, but it wasn't like this.]
