Oh, dear. Now he'll be up all night, throwing up assorted body parts till the morning. :(

Perhaps you ladies should keep him on a tighter leash?

Years of taking care of Monsieur has taught us that some of his moods are best dealt with by waiting them out.

I suppose the trial of patience is one that all caretakers have to endure.

Sometimes I wonder if we have been overly indulgent with him. This particular habit might not have been developed otherwise.

Herr Hiver is still a growing boy, no? It is reasonable to allow him some breathing space in order to find his own way in the world. Bad habits may be small nuisances, but hopefully they won't be long-lasting with some proper guidance.

He does need freedom to make his own decisions every now and then, but one can never help but to keep worrying that he might fall on the wrong path. That such a habit is potentially dangerous to his health is another thing. I don't suppose you have any tips on how to possibly lead him away from continuing this behavior, do you, Monsieur?

I'm afraid that I am not very well versed in the art of child-rearing, and therefore shall have to submit to your superior expertise in that particular area. However, may I suggest keeping him occupied through other...healthier means? Hopefully this dangerous phase will pass by once Herr Hiver finds something else with which to...kill time.

Mm, indeed, that might be for the best. I suppose our search for his Roman must be conducted more... thoroughly from now on. Or perhaps the search for a nicer pastime should also become one of our additional priorities. Hopefully something that will not involve the consumption of the very beings we are supposed to be observing.

[/chuckles] He can be quite the troublesome child at times, it seems.

Best of luck to your endeavors. I can only hope that the same fate won't befall me were I to maintain relations with Herr Hiver.

He is generally well-behaved and courteous, but heaven knows I rue he ever picked up this particular habit. Nevertheless, he is our charge and we will always love him dearly.

Merci beaucoup, Monsieur. Personally, I would not worry if I were you - Monsieur Hiver has always preferred his food to be fresh.

Perhaps it is simply one of those deeply repressed aspects of himself that stems from some...internal problems. Have you confronted him directly concerning this issue?

How reassuring. I suppose a body like mine will not be delectable to even the most liberal of cannibalistic gourmets.

It is something we have attempted to turn a blind eye to, although perhaps it is high time that we address the issue head on.

Oh, please do not be mistaken, Monsieur! I am certain that your value lies far deeper than in how appetizing your body is.

If this problem persists, a confrontation is inevitable, really. I can only hope that he does not take it as a...provocation, though you probably have very little to worry about, being made of porcelain yourself.

Well, I'm certainly glad to hear that. It would be quite depressing base one's value on that particular aspect.
