So I'm about due for a real update. What to say, what to say. I could update about the past week and some, which has been great, but I don't want to bore you with all the details. Just know I had a lot of fun hanging with old friends and doin the things I've missed. First field party of the season at CMS = success. At least in my opinion, besides Mandy havin a knife pulled on her by some punk ass kids. I miss the old days, the summers of past years. I know things have changed, but glimpses like that bring me back every now and then. It didn't help to hear Matty P's song basically about the slow downfall of Catonsville. I feel like my youth is fading fast. I refuse to let it.
There have been some things on my mind that weigh heavy, and despite all the good things happening, I still sometimes feel so helpless. I'm reminded often how capable I am, but regardless of this, I still feel like no matter what I do, I can't do enough. I never know when to try harder, when to accept it, or when to give up.
In other news, Thai Night is a week away from tomorrow, and we've finally got the flyers out. I have none of my lines memorized, but they aren't many so I should be able to wing it. Ad-libbing happens most of the time anyway. It's just the facts and such that I have to regurgitate that I need to work on. You all should come =)
You know you want to.
Tragedy has struck quite a bit today. Terri Schiavo passed on, after almost two weeks of having her feeding tube removed. Quite unfortunate, but, not to sound cold hearted, I think the media has sapped the emotion from the situation. Or maybe not sapped it, but made it quite jaded. The political/ethical/social dispute over the entire situation seems to detract from that fact that she was a living human being. But maybe that's just how I see the situation was handled.
Also, comedian Mitch Hedburg passed on, from a heart attack I believe. He was supposed to perform in Baltimore tonight too.
And lastly, though definitely not least, the great bassist from the band Guitar Wolf, Hideaki Sekiguchi a.k.a. Billy Bass Wolf, passed on after suffering a heart attack at age 38. Rock and Roll lost one of its greatest members, but I have faith that Guitar Wolf and Drum Wolf will carry on, as Bass Wolf would've wanted. Definitely watching Wild Zero some time this weekend in commemoration for Bass Wolf.
More information So I cut my hair today, or at least started to. Hacked off most of the top and the sides and then had Mandy finish up the rest for my inability to see the back of my own head made it difficult. Sorry to all those that suggested I grow my hair out longer but I decided it was time for a change. C'mon, you all know me, I can't stick with one thing for long when it comes to my hair. And of course, pictures:
Dodgeball was tonight and that was a lot of fun as always. People seemed to like my hair so that's always a good thing =) Comments on the hair, please? Good or bad, doesn't matter.
Oh yea, and for any that haven't added me and would like to, or just want to know what MySpace name is [using their handy dandy new service]:
www.myspace.com/blackenedwings And now, to end the entry, some random pictures cause I'm bored and it's 5AM:
You know you're a dork when you have Command Prompt as one of your most used and recent programs accessed.
And two random pictures to end with. Just because I found them quite amusing. I dunno whether they actually are or if it's delirium at 5AM.
