For a long time, I have been wanting a particular song/album that was hard to come by. After looking for it at Amoeba, Rasputin, Wherehouse, Tower, and even iTunes, I just gave up. Figured it just wasn't to be found. This was like a year ago.
So I sit down the other night to watch a movie that has been recommended to me by numerous people, Love & Basketball. (It wasn't that good. I expected more. Too much hype.) The movie ends and I search through the Special Features section and see a music video option. I hit play and what do you know!? It's the song! I start thinking of all the ways I can copy the music:
MiniDisc - oops! Packed it away and it's not digital anyway.
CDex - doesn't work since it won't read audio from a DVD.
Then, after consulting with the Yoda's of computer knowledge Chris & Chris, I find that there is a software program that allows you to rip DVD audio! Yup, so now I can rip my concert DVDs too! I just downloaded the trial version and it worked. Pretty sweet. I'm listening to it right now!
