MULTI-FANDOM/INERESTS/HOBBIES/WHATEVER-THE-F***-EVER FRIENDING MEME

With people moving along to other social networking sites, and people’s journal’s becoming less and less active, you are probably like me and seeing more and more of dead journals on your f-list. Well, here is a chance to find some active people who are into the same fandoms ( Read more... )

Name/Age/Location:  Erin/24 (going on 25)/Great Plains, USA

A little Info About Yourself : Was a Graphic Design/Art Major in college. Been out for just over a year. Working on developing a wider web design portfolio while working as a graphic design intern at a project consulting firm.

Genre of Fandoms You Are Involved In:  Videogames, movies, books, anime, television shows.

Other Interests or Hobbies: I draw sporadically (college basically killed my ability to draw for fun, so I've been working on slowly finding the fun in it again), write a lot (working on a few fic projects and a couple Original Fiction projects as well), and periodically do some design work that isn't work-related. (I'm very interested in the art of gig posters, so I like to mess with designing those every now and again)

Fandoms: I'm most active in the Resident Evil, Mass Effect, Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Transformers (Bayverse) fandoms, but I dabble in a ton of others. My profile lists a few more, though even that list isn't quite comprehensive.

We share some fandoms, FMA, Glee, Mass Effect and I'm sure some others I am not aware of just yet. I saw a list in your journal naming some games off, some of which, like Allan Wake I have on steam waiting to be played, I see potential. I also have weekly video game discussion posts based on what I'm playing. As for books, I read mostly classics. I don't judge people's RL of fandom interests. I like to talk about them and analyze certain characters and pairings and maybe sine RL situations I have had some experience with too, but I don't give opinions generally, unless mine is asked directly or the post is written in a way that leaves it open for opinions. Judgement, though? Never ( ... )

Ah, okay. Yeah, no pictures of creepy dead things here. XD That clears it all up, I don't think I have any of those issues, and I don't think I could make the "emotional vampire" kind of quota for a post even if I tried. I kind of just rofl at those kind of posts or do feel bad if I know the person well.

So now that is settled out, want to try being friends? XD You sound awesome to me.

Oh, yeah, if it's a legitimate gripe or run of bad luck I'm right there empathizing/sympathizing. I'm not that heartless, at least. XD

Sure! You sound pretty awesome yourself.

ANIMATION! I'd have gone into animation myself if I hadn't realized a few years back that my style doesn't have the right consistency to be good for it, and that my hand is really bad at adapting to other styles. I still sometimes toy with going back to school for environment design and development, though. THAT would be something I could probably handle. XD

Politics and ideologies are kinda like Fight Club to me: the first rule is that you just don't talk about them. It's safer and easier that way. I am not without opinions on things and do try to keep up with current events, but I generally don't air my thoughts on them out on LJ or Tumblr or wherever else.

I have random luck with it sometimes. I think I'm hindered by the fact that I also do art for work, so going right home and doing more art just doesn't appeal to me right now. I've been writing, though, which I've always felt I was a bit better at than drawing.

Sure! I am always eager to have more artist friends! You never can have enough!
