Massive update

Well I guess it's been a long time since I've written a post containing anything substantial in it, and today is my birthday so it seems like as good a time as any. (No, I'm not fishing for birthday wishes in that last sentence or this one, but feel free to give them anyway.)

In case anybody was worried because of the last post I wrote, I haven't died since then. It turns out that the I got misdiagnosed by the first doctor who thought my intestines were 'blocked up' so he prescribed me some stuff to get things moving. A few days after that, I ended up in the most incredible pain I'd ever experienced so I went and saw a different doctor who immediately put me on antibiotics and I got better straight away. Don't think I'll be seeing doctor #1 ever again now...

Anyway, since my last post I got a new motorbike which I vowed not to let die from neglect like the last one. And so, of course, it's currently sitting in the garage in need of maintenance because I have various bills and amounts of money which need to be spent on general living - so I've been riding my pushbike around for the past week.

Also, probably the biggest news right now (and for the past month and a half) is that I have a job as a postman! I really did enjoy being a dole bludger and not going to university, but it was getting to the point where I was going to have to do work for the dole anyway, and that would be miserable - so I guess it's good that I'm doing what I am. The early morning hours can be grueling, but the work isn't particularly strenuous, and meeting people is nice. Having money to spend on stuff is a good feeling too, even if half of it gets dedicated to living costs anyway.

Dad's gone to Queensland for a week so I have to take care of the house and the cat... and there's absolutely nothing in the pantry right now. I guess it's time to go shopping and lose some more of the money I'm trying to save! Such is life.
I get my wisdom tooth pulled out tomorrow. It's been a growing problem since I was a teenager, but I haven't gotten around to getting it taken out until it actually caused me insane amounts of pain for hours on end whenever I would drink something cold. I'll be glad to see it finally out of the way. I've nicknamed my wisdom tooth "Village Idiot" because it decided to grow in sideways.
Taking those Oxycodone pills of dad's as relief has provided me with a small glimpse into the world of opioids. I'm not sure if it's a glimpse that I enjoy or not, since it makes me feel like I've lost 50 IQ points and half my strength when I take them.

I guess that's about all the major news I have for now. The world of dating is still a nice big mystery to me, but I'm not really worried about it. If anything comes up regarding the different people I've met in Wagga, then you guys will be sure to know... possibly after I let my most favourite Aunty in the world know first though.
